Energy management in the decade of green transition, under debate

At an event organized by G-advisory and Simulyde, several professionals from the sector addressed issues such as the rise in gas and electricity prices and their expected evolution.

Last January 20, G-advisory and Simulyde held, in a hybrid format (in person and online), the webinar entitled Energy management in the decade of green transition.

The event started with a first speech by Antonio Baena (G-advisory) and Javier Reneses (Simulyde) regarding the #xPryce model and the expected evolution of prices, where they offered their viewpoint on how the main factors affecting the price formation pool (demand, changes in the generation mix, commodities, etc.) are expected to evolve, and how prices are expected to evolve in the medium and long term in the Iberian Electricity Market (MIBEL).

Next, a round table was held, moderated by Sofía Lazcano, Partner in charge of G-advisory, and participated by Ignacio Soneira (General Manager of Axpo Iberia), Paz García Alajarín (director of Energy Origination and Strategy at Repsol), Santiago Gómez Ramos (Chief Energy Management Officer of Acciona Energía) and David Soler (General Manager of Invesyde). During the round table, they covered the basic aspects of the profound transformation of the energy industry that we are experiencing in the context of the green transition which Spain will carry out in this decade. The speakers gave their points of view on hot topics like the rise in gas and electricity prices and their forecast evolution on the short and medium term, the expected changes in the electricity markets in the future, and the disruptive changes taking place in the industry and which will completely alter the current status quo of energy management: self-consumption, storage, electric vehicles, energy communities, aggregators of demand, etc.
