GAM hires G-advisory as advisor in its sustainable financing process
G-advisory was selected as the sustainability expert hired by General de Alquiler de Maquinaria (GAM) to prepare a second-party opinion on a promissory note program registered at the Spanish Alternative Fixed-Income Market (MARF). The Garrigues group consultants tested this program’s relationship with sustainability by analyzing the offering circular (between GAM and the financial institution), the ambition of the determined sustainability objectives and their alignment with the company’s sustainability strategy.
And on January 22, 2024, G-advisory issued its second-party opinion on the promissory notes program based on the Sustainability Linked Bond Principles (SLBP), stating that the objectives were ambitious, realistic and aligned with its sustainable performance. GAM took advantage of this process to move forward with the electrification of its vehicle fleet and machinery, and further the training of its workers. Projects of this type linked to the sustainability of companies that have financial advantages are on the rise and assist with enhancing sustainability standards at the companies themselves.
