CORE a finalist in the Managing Partners Forum Awards
CORE, Garrigues’ compliance risk management tool, was the runner-up for the “Most Innovative Client Service” award from the London-based Managing Partners Forum (MPF). These awards recognize European firms’ efforts to implement innovative management approaches to deliver even more efficient and quality services to clients.
MPF experts valued Garrigues’ project to develop a software tool that not only supports crime prevention efforts but also helps clients comprehensively manage their regulatory compliance challenges. The tool was developed by the Garrigues and G-advisory collaborative team and is already in use with many companies across several industries.
The project was created to support the Chief Compliance Officer in the challenging task of supervising compliance and preventing breaches of a vast body of regulations (criminal, data protection, security, environmental, etc.), in constantly-changing organizations that often operate in several jurisdictions at once. The tool was designed by consultants at G-advisory (the firm’s consulting subsidiary), in a collaboration with lawyers specializing in criminal law, data protection, corporate/company law and regulatory compliance, along with members of Garrigues’ IT Department.
Garrigues was also nominated for three other awards: Best Managed International Firm, Best Implementation of Systems or Technology and Best Provision of Knowledge to Clients. In 2016, Garrigues was the winner in this latter category.
MPF is a London-based professional organization for senior managers of Europe’s largest firms and consultancies. The Forum aims to promote new, more efficient and innovative management approaches in the professional services industry.
