G-advisory, technical advisor in the financing of two important photovoltaic projects in Colombia carried out by Solarpack

G-advisory has acted as technical advisor in the financing of the La Unión and La Mata photovoltaic projects carried out by the Spanish company Solarpack. This is the largest package of financing through Project Finance of photovoltaic plants ever carried out in Colombia.
La Unión, with 144,5 MWp capacity, is located in the province of Córdoba, whereas La Mata, with 108,3 MWp capacity, is located in the province of Cesar.
The technical team, led by Máximo Martín, coordinated by Eduardo Pedregosa, and also formed by Pamela Chantiri and Luis Alberto Lira, has advised the financing entities, Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo and Bancolombia, on the technical aspects of the transaction. G-advisory will also provide supervisory services in the construction of the plants, and will supervise the operation throughout the warranty period.
Both projects, which will begin operating by mid-2023, have electricity sale and purchase contracts which were awarded to them in the third non-conventional renewable energy auction organized by the Ministry of Mines and Energy at the end of 2021.
