María José Ugalde

María José Ugalde is the Country Manager of the G-advisory offices in Chile. She holds a degree in Civil engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, studied a master’s degree in Energy Economics from the UTSFM and diplomas in Energy Regulation and Sustainable Finances among other specific trainings and certificates. She has more more than 17 years of experience in electrical markets across LATAM, including both generation and transmission segments, developing her career in different IPPs, such as Statkraft, Opdenergy and X-Elio, leading business development teams, and being responsible for commercial, technical, and regulatory affairs. Her experience has given her a deep and strategical understanding and knowledge of all the stages related to energy businesses, from the in-house development of greenfield projects, or M&A processes up to the financing, construction and operation stage. Fluent in Spanish, English and French.
